Gear Motor 7 - 120:1 "Baby GM3"
The GM7, which is a baby version of our popular GM3 gear motor has tighter tolerances and better
performance than a regular toy-style motor, these smaller, quicker
120:1 gear reduction ratio motors are sure to stir ideas!
This gear motor starts rotation at 0.58 volts, turning 7 RPM drawing
only 46.5mA. At 6 volts, this unit really humms, spinning at 146 RPM
and drawing 92mA no-load (524mA stall producing 23.78in*oz torque).
These units work very well on solarengine circuits.
Like it's big-brother, this gear motor also has a built-in safety
clutch which engages at approximately 25in*oz (at 6.5V / 650mA).
This motor also has a unique 2mm (0.08") crest diameter chrome-finish
splined shaft can be pushed through the output gear to either side
of the motor, and is also solder-able!
(If you do want to solder to it, yank the shaft right out, solder,
and then press it back in).
These motors have an overall size of 58.0mm x 24.8mm x 22.3mm
(2.28" x 0.98" x 0.88"), and weigh in at only 19 grams (0.67oz).
